Gwynn Holladay, First Grade
Ms. Holladay received a BA degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from NLU (ULM) in Monroe. She then went on complete and Master’s Plus 30 in Elementary Education from Centenary College. She has taught school for 34 years.
Her hobbies include baking, gardening, and travel. She has a large close-knit family and is blessed to have both parents together for 64 years. Her philosophy is to always do the right thing, work to the best of her ability, and show others she cares. She loves teaching children! In her younger years, she even taught riflery!
She was Arthur Circles Teacher of the Year for 2015-2016!
Ms. Southwell is a “military brat”. She has been quite a few places, but has spent most of her years here in Louisiana. She has a bachelor’s in Elementary Education and a master’s in Educational Leadership. She started teaching in 2009 and has taught grades 1-3; all in Caddo Parish. She enjoys dancing, art, and music. She has 2 children who keep her on her toes, but she loves every minute of it!
Mona Tyer, First Grade Mrs. Tyer received her BA degree in Elementary Education from Louisiana College. She has been teaching since 1994 and is certified to teach Pre-K through eighth grade. She has taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, First Grade and ECSE.
In her free time, she enjoys learning more about Jesus, going to church, exploring new towns, hiking and spending time with her husband, family, and friends.
Her favorite quote about children is Billy Graham….” A child who is allowed to be disrespectful to his parents will not have true respect for anyone.”
