Claire Johnson, Third Grade
Miss Johnson received her BA degree from Louisiana State University in Shreveport in 1988. She has been teaching for 27 years in Grades 1-5.
She has 3 sons. Miss Johnson enjoys spending time with her sons as well as running and exercising.
Wendy Woodham,Third Grade
Ms. Woodham earned her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and her Master’s in Education from Northwestern State University. She is National Board certified as a Middle Childhood Generalist. She has 16 years of teaching experience.
Ms. Woodham enjoys spending time her family. She has 2 brothers and a sister. She is a proud aunt to Emily Jo and Benjamin.
Her other hobbies include playing card games with friends and working on DIY projects around her house.
A couple of cool facts about Ms. Woodham are that she played Division I soccer at NSU and is currently the Byrd High School Girls Varsity Soccer Team Goalkeeper Coach.
Her classroom motto is “All children can learn.”
Mrs. Hubbard teaches 3rd Grade English – Language Arts. She earned a B.S. in Elementary Education and an M.A. in Educational Leadership and Supervision from Northwestern State University. She became a teacher because she loves to see children succeed. That “light bulb” moment when a child understands something or masters a new skill fuels her passion for teaching.
She is married with four college age children, representing BPCC, Louisiana Tech, and Northwestern.
In her free time, Mrs. Hubbard enjoys shopping and gardening.
Don’t ask Mrs. Hubbard to whistle! She says that shes STILL trying to master that skill!
