Mrs. DayStacy Day, Speech

Mrs. Day is Arthur Circle’s Speech Teacher.  She has lived in the Shreveport-Bossier area since her Dad was stationed at Barksdale AFB in 1968.  She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education- Speech & Hearing Therapy from LSUS in 1985.  Mrs. Day received her Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders from LSUMC School of Allied Health Professions in 1987. Mrs. Day has been a Speech-Language Pathologist for 28 years.

In her spare time, she enjoys watching her family.  Mrs. Day is grateful to be able to call herself an Arthur Circle Cougar!  She says that her job is to make sure that every student she works with is successful in the classroom.


boothMelissa Booth, Special Education, Grades K-2

Mrs. Booth is our K-2 teacher for exceptional students. She has a Masters degree in Special Education focusing on lower elementary, Pre-K – 4th grade.  She has been married for 17 years and they have an 8-year-old daughter together.  Her hobbies include traveling and spending time with her family.  She is THRILLED to be a part of the Arthur Circle Elementary Family where she was the 2016-2017 Teacher of the Year!

Mrs. Jennifer Hutchison is very excited to join the ACE team! She attended LSU in Baton Rouge and has been teaching for 11 years in Caddo. She is certified in Special Education and Regular Education, Pre-K to 3rd. She has been married to her husband Danny for twenty years and has two daughters, Hailey and Emily. She loves working with her students and getting to know their families.
In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, gardening and playing with her dogs. She also loves working with the children’s ministry at her church. Go Cougars!

Mrs. DowdAudee Dowd, Special Education 3-5

Mrs. Dowd received a BA in Communications and Public Relations from LSU-S in 1990.  She heeded the call to teach after becoming certified in Elementary Education in 2001.  She currently teaches 5th Grade ELA.  She brings to the table, creativity, enthusiasm, and her wide range of experience at every grade level.

She has two children, Emily and Zachary.  During her free time, Mrs. Dowd enjoys attending Louisiana Festivals and spending time with friends and family.

A fun fact about Mrs. Dowd is that she has won the Albertson’s steak cook-off  2 years in a row!

Kesley Schwab, Reading Interventionist K-2

Mrs. Schwab graduated summa cum laude with her BA in early childhood education in 2010 from Louisiana State University in Shreveport. She received an add-on certification from Northwestern State University in early intervention. This is her 6th year teaching. She taught pre-k and kindergarten special education for 4 years, second grade for 1 year and first grade for 1 year. She is now a K-2 Reading Interventionist  at Arthur Circle and absolutely loves it here!

Mrs. Schwab got married in June 2015 to her husband, Nathan, who is a science teacher at Byrd High School. Go Jackets! They have two dogs, Finley (a chihuahua) and Fiona (a rat terrier). Mrs. Schwab loves to travel, attend football games, do arts and crafts, scrapbook, organize, and spend time with her husband, family, and friends. Her favorite thing about teaching is bonding with her students and seeing them light up when they learn something new!

dennisDemetra Dennis – McKinney-Vento Program
Mrs. Dennis received a BA Degree in Early Childhood Education from Louisiana Tech University. She then went on to complete an alternate certification in Elementary Education 1-5 from LSU-S. Mrs. Dennis has been and educator for 28 years. She taught Kindergarten here at Arthur Circle for 13 years before working with the McKinney-Vento Program for families in transition at Barret for 15 years.
Mrs. Dennis is married and has two sons who both went to Arthur Circle. She enjoys cooking, movies, spending time with family and friends and helping others whenever the opportunity presents itself. She is happy to be an Arthur Circle Cougar again!!
